Welcome to the Numerical Reasoning Test. This assessment is designed to measure your numerical reasoning ability and logical thinking skills. The test consists of 20 questions. Please read the following instructions carefully before starting the test.
Test Overview:
- Number of Questions: 20
- Time Allotment: 60 seconds per question
- Question Format: Each question will display a series of numbers, with one number missing.
- Task:There is a relationship between each number and the following number. You have to infer the mathematical relationship between these numbers and use that inference to determine the next number in the series.
- Aids: You may use a calculator for this test.
Detailed Instructions:
- Test Layout
- Each question will be displayed one at a time.
- A timer will be displayed on the screen to help you keep track of the time.
- If the 60-second timer runs out, you will automatically be taken to the next question.
- When you have answered a question, the 'Next' button will appear, allowing you to navigate to the next question.
- You will not be able to navigate to any of the previous questions.
- Answering the Question:
- Examine the numbers in the series for a mathematical pattern.
- Find the number that continues the series.
- Write the number in the text box below the series.
- Some of the series deal with fractions. In these series, you can either write a fraction that you believe is correct, such as 1/2, an equivalent fraction such as 2/4, or an equivalent non-fractional number such as 0.5.
- Proceed to the next question by clicking “Next”.
- Completing the Test:
- At question number 20, you may select "End" to end the test.
- Your results will be calculated based on your responses.
Important Notes:
- You are permitted to use a calculator for this test, and we suggest having one ready. If you don't have a calculator, you may use the one included in the test by clicking 'Calculator' below the number series.
- There are no penalties for incorrect answers, so it's better to make an educated guess than to leave a question unanswered.
- Ensure you are in a quiet environment free from distractions to maintain concentration throughout the test.
