What is the Logiks General Advanced Test?
Talogy (formerly Cubiks) ability tests are called Logiks. Logiks are available as an intermediate and an advanced test. There is no “beginners” level.
The advanced test is considered more difficult and more complex and has fewer question types in its numerical and verbal sub-tests. Questions are multiple-choice with 4 – 6 answer options.
The total test consists of 30 questions with a time limit of 20 minutes.
Here we will cover what you need to know about the Logiks General test for the advanced level.
At Aptitude-test.com we offer comprehensive practice materials for all of the Talogy Logiks ability tests.
What questions can I expect on the Logiks General Intermediate?
The test includes three sub-tests: Logiks Verbal, Logiks Numerical, and Logiks Abstract. To assist you in understanding the types of questions on the test, we will describe the three sections below.
Logiks Verbal
The verbal sub-test of the Logiks General Advanced contains 12 questions and you have 8 minutes to answer all the questions.
The questions consist of one or more paragraphs of text followed by a series of questions. Questions may ask what can be concluded from the text, what assumption is made in the text or which statement best summarizes the main message in the text.
Logiks Verbal example question:
In recent years, the town of Greenfield has seen a significant increase in its population, leading to a rise in traffic congestion. To address this issue, the local government implemented a new traffic management system last year. The system includes synchronized traffic lights, expanded bicycle lanes, and improved public transportation routes. Early reports suggest that these changes have reduced average commute times by 15%. However, some residents argue that the improvements have disproportionately benefited those living in the downtown area, while suburban areas have seen little change.
Answer Options:
A: The population increase in Greenfield has led to a decrease in traffic congestion.
B: The new traffic management system has eliminated traffic congestion in Greenfield.
C: Residents believe that the traffic improvements have been evenly distributed across the town.
D: The new traffic management system includes expanded bicycle lanes and improved public transportation routes.
Explanation:

To find the correct answer, we need to refer to the information provided in the text passage.
Option A is incorrect because the passage states that the population increase has led to a rise in traffic congestion, not a decrease.
Option B is incorrect as the passage does not claim that traffic congestion has been eliminated, only that commute times have been reduced.
Option C is incorrect because the passage indicates that some residents feel the improvements have not been evenly distributed.
Option D is correct. The passage explicitly mentions that the new traffic management system includes synchronized traffic lights, expanded bicycle lanes, and improved public transportation routes.
Correct Answer: D. The new traffic management system includes expanded bicycle lanes and improved public transportation routes.
Logiks Numerical
The numerical sub-test of the Logiks General Advanced consists of 8 questions with a time limit of 8 minutes.
These questions assess your numerical reasoning skills and typically consist of a diagram or chart with information and numbers.
Each graph/chart will be accompanied by 3 – 4 questions. The test-taker must find the information needed from the graph/chart and calculate the correct answer.
Logiks Numerical example question:
Sales figures of four different products (A, B, C, and D) over a period of six months:
Question:
Based on the graph, which product showed the greatest percentage increase in sales from January to June?
Explanation: Select your answer to display explanation.
To find the greatest percentage increase, we calculate the percentage increase for each product from January to June.
Product A:
January: 200 units, June: 300 units
Percentage Increase = ((300 – 200) / 200) × 100% = 50%
Product B:
No increase (constant sales of 300 units).
Product C:
January: 100 units, June: 600 units
Percentage Increase = ((600 – 100) / 100) × 100% = 500%
Product D:
January: 350 units, June: 350 units
No increase.
The correct answer is Product C (500% increase).
Logiks Abstract
The abstract sub-test of the Logiks General Advanced consists of 10 questions with a time limit of 4 minutes.
The abstract category has questions that resemble those you would find on an IQ test. The questions include a series of figures and the test-taker is to choose the figure that is missing in the series or the figure that would complete the series.
Logiks Abstract example question:
Select a suitable option that would complete the series.
Explanation: Select your answer to display explanation.
With each step in the series, the circle becomes slightly larger, while the rectangle becomes slightly smaller.
How to prepare for the Logiks General Advanced
Preparing for this test will help you perform better. There are several things you can do to prepare for the Logiks General Advanced:

- Brush up on your knowledge of basic mathematical rules and concepts, such as fractions, decimals, percentages, square roots, exponents, and basic algebra.
- Practice questions similar to those of the test, this will familiarize you with the questions and help you feel more confident about the test.
- Set up a simulated test with the same question types and time limit. Practicing time management techniques is very important for performing well.
Tips for taking your Logiks General Intermediate test
Calculators are allowed when taking the test.
Time constraints in these tests can cause a roadblock for many test-takers. Repeated practice will speed your ability to do the tests within the given time.
The verbal, numerical, and abstract skills needed to complete the tests might not be as difficult as one might expect but a tight time limit can cause test-takers to make many mistakes. It is, therefore, necessary to practice basic math and verbal skills before taking the test. It is also advisable to do some practice tests daily for a week or more prior to taking the scheduled test.
